Cup

Possibly Pergamon, Asia Minor, late 1st century BCE – early 1st century CE

Site: Panticapaeum (Kerch)

Terracotta-coloured ceramic clay. Large low-footed cup with parts of the handles reserved just below the straight lip. Made from a single relief mould. On the outside, raised floral ornamentation in horizontal bands – a wreath composed of leaves, flowers, and laurel berries. Engraved groove of egg-and-dart along the lip. Dark red overall.
